Welcome to DAV Public School. Holistic education is our theme and we aim for a perfect balance of complementary factors: ancient and modern, national and international, traditional and innovative. We want our students to be genius, knowledgeable, skilled, open, direct, confident and articulate. An athlete, an actor, a poet, a painter, a musician and dedicated trier who will find a place in this community. All have opportunity to develop their individual abilities and discover their talents which they did not know they possessed.
DAV Public School, New Panvel has been set up with the mission to provide the best possible opportunities for pupils to learn and cultivate habits that lead them to adopt positive attitudes to life and develop a deep sense of human values that will enable them to fulfill their potentials and contribute to the society and the economy. We help our children to explore their inner talents and potentials by providing appropriate stress free learning environment with quality education. |

The Century speaks of Education, which has become a global affair of the new millennium. We in the role of leading force to the next generation must understand this global concern.
It is time for our institutions to get people unstuck from their conventional behaviour and rigid views. The future has arrived with space age. We must prepare ourselves for it by asking questions to self-would we reinvent ourselves? because now children are going to be different. It is the demand of this age hour to think of the future of the future we are serving for.
Students have already begun to expect much more than the academics from institutions. What we need to do is to align all our activities to ensure that child’s needs are met. The essential concerns behind this alignment are to understand a child and encourage him to grow with inventions. To achieve this, children may be launched to the new exposures and adventures. They also are to be initiated to the different aspects and avenues beyond the classrooms, beyond the textbooks and beyond the rigidly regulated syllabus and environment.
The task is difficult but not impossible.
The greater the social and cultural exposure the child receives, higher is his developmental process. It contributes significantly towards making him emotionally and intellectually sound.
Children are like rain water, which appear on Mother Earth, having tremendous capacity to generate and to create. But due to the confusion in selection of sources, streams and directions these capacities go waste like rain water without blooming. It finally takes refuge with the world of frustration in their search for meaningful life.
In our role of potential providers this challenge becomes ultimate.
The structural ambience of school and the emotional ambience at home play a vital role in shaping a creative destiny of a child. The school and family together in this respect can do a good deal of work.
The forward path for this deal is to understand a child in totality and not loading him with our ideas and views of life. We must surrender our egoism and pride, our privileged rights and authorities and accept the child as he is with all that he has. For this, we need to review our roles and performances. We need to learn child’s language and understand his messages. We need to leave behind our deadwood attitudes and join child’s level of understanding.
A collective step forward definitely shall help us win this wonderful task.
